FANALPrivacy policy
How FANAL uses your data, how long it's kept and how to exercise your rights.
The essentials
- No ads, no audience tracking, no resale of data.
- No tracking cookies, only those needed to log in.
- You can hide your profile from the site, unlink your accounts and delete your data.
Who is responsible?
The data controller is the publisher of FANAL (see the legal notice), reachable at contact@fanalcs.com.
What data, and why?
FANAL only collects what the community needs to work, on the Discord server as on the site.

What is public
Visible to everyone, on the server and on the site, are your Discord username and avatar, your results and rankings, your badges, your listings and the lineups you share. Your private lineups, bookmarks, wishlist and price alerts are never published on the site.
Don't want to appear on the site? The “Moi sur le site” button in the mon-profil channel on Discord replaces you with “Hidden player” and removes your player page, at any time.
How long?

Who has access?
Your data is never sold or rented. Only the publisher and, for support and moderation, the FANAL moderation team have access to it, within the limits of their role. FANAL relies on these providers.
- Hetzner Online (Germany, European Union), for hosting the FANAL site and services.
- DatHost (Sweden, European Union), for match servers. Your Steam ID and nickname go through it to place you in your team.
- OVHcloud (France), for the domain name and email.
- Discord (United States). The community lives on Discord, and what you do there is also governed by Discord's privacy policy.
- Valve (Steam), for logging in to your account, and for your inventory if you use it on the market.
- Faceit, only if you link that account, to get your level.
- YouTube (Google), only if you allow videos and start a lineup video.
- Steam and GitHub, which host the skin images shown on the site.
Some of these services may process data outside the European Union, with their own safeguards (including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for those that adhere to it).

These are strictly necessary for the site to work, so they don't require consent (article 82 of the French Data Protection Act). There are no advertising cookies and no audience tracking.
Lineup videos are hosted by YouTube, which sets its own cookies when a video starts. They only load if you've allowed them. You can change this choice at any time with the link at the bottom of every page.
Your rights
At any time you can ask to access your data, correct it, delete it, object to its use, restrict its use or get it in a readable format. You can also withdraw your consent for linked accounts.
What you can do yourself
- Hide your profile from the site with the “Moi sur le site” button in the mon-profil channel on Discord.
- Unlink your Steam account with the “Délier” button in the skins-infos channel on Discord.
- Delete your site data (private lineups, bookmarks, login) with the button at the bottom of My hub.
- Delete your messages directly on Discord.
For everything else (a copy of your data, unlinking your Faceit, full deletion, anonymizing your history), write to us with the contact form (subject “My personal data”), at contact@fanalcs.com or through a ticket on Discord. We reply within one month at most; proof that the Discord account concerned is really yours may be requested.
If you believe your rights aren't respected, you can file a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).
Security
Encrypted connection (HTTPS), restricted access, protected sensitive files and secure sessions. You're never asked for a password, login goes through the official Steam or Discord pages.
Minors
If you're under 15, ask a parent's permission before linking a Faceit or Steam account.
Changes
This policy may change along with FANAL. Any significant change will be announced on the server.
