Strategy
How to Play Dust2
The aim map. It requires fewer support players than Mirage or Inferno; the first kills decide the rounds, and entire halves hinge on control of Long.
Two players on Long, one or two in the tunnels, and one covering the mid. Knowing where the CT AWP is helps you choose the site.
Flash over the Long gates—either win or avoid the Pit duel—then smoke at the CT intersection and move forward while trading shots.
Long pushes forward while a player approaches via Catwalk using the Xbox smoke, with a CT smoke to cut off the rotation.
Smoke on B's window and doors; flashes above the tunnel exits. We have to move fast—the CTs are coming back from three different directions.
On prend le mid, smokes fenêtre et portes from CT Mid, puis B par les portes et les tunnels ensemble. Plus technique mais évite le goulot.
2-1-2: one on Long, one on Short, the AWP at mid (doors or CT Mid), and two on B.
She controls the mid lane and threatens Suicide's peeks at the start of the round.
On the aggressive side, flash and peek the doors for a quick kill. On the passive side, hold the Pit and the corner and let the T-side engage.
Call it early so the mid laner can come back via Catwalk.
Through the window and the doors at the same time, with a flash over the wall.

As a pro
At the pro level, Dust2 revolves heavily around the mid and the T-side AWP duos. In the tournaments tracked on 2026, it accounts for up to one-third of the maps played.
