Reserve

A map of systems. Well-executed runs on Ramp A and disciplined play on Flank B often defeat teams with better aim. Fights are short, and SMGs are very useful.

The defense gains an advantage by not being the first to die. Every CT position plays for time.
1
Defect A

Three players push up Ramp A with utility vehicles, while two hold the center and the flank of Staircase B.

2
Complete ramp installation

Smoke at the top of the ramp, Molotovs on Sheets and Dark, flashes, then the five behind the wave. Poses behind Double.

3
Rush B

Flash au-dessus des escaliers et attaque directe from on spawn. La réponse classique en pistol et en anti-eco.

4
Mid, then split B

Push through the mid lane for a kill or intel, take the Connector, then head to B via the stairs and the Connector at the same time.

5
Fake ramp, mid-air flip

Two players are positioned on the ramp, then move through mid and take the elevator to A while the CTs push through the chokepoint.

Positions AWP

MidCT · one of the only two true AWP lines
Rampe ACT · One shot, then move on—easy to flush out with support players

  • Forget about vertical threats, boosts, and elevators

As a pro

Vertigo was removed from the official map pool in 2025 and remains playable in competitive play as a backup map. It was often banned by teams that prioritize aim.
