Strategy
Comment jouer Inferno
The utility map. On the T side, the pro play is slow and information-driven. We gradually chip away at Banana’s control, then punish even the slightest overrotation with a quick attack on A.
Two players are fighting for Banana, two are heading through Second Mid toward the apartments, and one is holding Mid toward Boiler.
We take the hallway, trading Molotovs and smoke grenades, using cars and sandbags, before going for the kills.
Two players head through the apartments toward Balcony; two take Top Mid and Short. Smoke grenades in Arch and Library; Molotov in the Pit; attack on two floors.
Use Smoke CT to cut off the spawn, throw Molotovs at Dark and Coffins, flash above the sandbags, then make a coordinated push.
We hold onto Banana, the mid lane, and the apartments without committing, then we attack the site that burned its utility units in the last 30 seconds.
2-2-1, two on B (one on-site, one supporting Banana), two on A (Pit and Apartments or Boiler), and one versatile player at Arch or Library.
Use Molotovs early on Car or Logs; throw a smoke grenade to halt the advance; fall back only when the utility vehicles are empty.
Alternate between an aggressive player in the apartments for intelligence and a passive placement that leaves Balcony exposed to fire from Library and Arch.
The first sound in Banana is the most common feint. Save a Molotov for late comebacks on B.
Keep a smoke and a flash, approach from both sides, and anticipate the likely setup: Pit on A and New Box on B.

As a pro
Valve has expanded Banana to 2025, so some of the old lineups no longer work. In 2026 pro tournaments, Inferno accounts for between one-sixth and one-quarter of the maps played.
