Train

Pro team maps for the T and CT sides, AWP positions, utility positions, key areas, and lineups for winning on Train.

Strategy

How to Play Train

Reserve

The CS2 remake is faster and much less favorable to CTs than the old Train map. The train cars create a multitude of angles, and the Z Connector is the main artery of the entire map.

Generally favorable for T-shapes in 2025. The open sight lines and the Z Connector provide split options.
1
The defect

I'll be at A Main and Popdog, maybe lurking at Ivy or Alley, and the B halls are an option.

2
A Main et Popdog

Smokes sur Ivy et sur les couloirs CT, combat from A Main, puis descente par l’échelle de Popdog dans le dos de la défense.

3
"The Flank" by Ivy

Two players go through Alley toward Ivy while the others stall at A Main, to take the court from both corners.

4
Version B

Upper B and Ramp B at the same time after a flurry of flashes, Molotovs on the reels, and smoke on the Z Connector.

5
Fake A, switch to Z

Utility players and players start at A Main, then rotate via the Z Connector to B when the defenders cross over.

Positions AWP

HeavenCT · Anchor A above the courtyard
E BoxCT · behind the railcars, with views from underneath the cars
IvyCT · Approach via A Main and Popdog Flank
Z ConnectorCT · The Line Between Sites

Key Utilities

  • Ivy Smokes and CT corridors to attack A
  • Molotov on the Popdog ladder on the CT side
  • Molotov on B's reels
  • Smoke Z Connector on the B attacks
  • Grenades placed in the gaps between railcars

Where to Plant

A · Bomb TrainSur le wagon, impossible à défuser from la plupart des angles au sol.
A · SandwichBetween two railcars, the retake must fit into the space.
B · Center CarThe installation area for Site B.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Launching a direct assault on a stationary defense—the gaps between the train cars are deadly
  • Leave the Popdog ladder unattended on the CT side
  • Keeping an AWP in the same spot for several rounds

As a pro

Train was part of the official pool for one season before being replaced by Anubis in January 2026. The old Train was a CT stronghold based on deep AWP positions.
